After months of being alone in the desert Rhiannon grew weary. She had endured the elements and lack of food and water.  A cougar had been tracking her for weeks. It could smell when she was afraid. Rhiannon knew that she had to be brave in order to make it to the oasis. She faced her fears and took a stand with the cougar. In the light of day seeing Rhiannon standing so tall with her walking stick, the cougar decided to find easier prey. Each time the feeling of fear returned, so did the cougar. Rhiannon would again find the strength within herself to face her fear.

One morning Rhiannon could see plants and hear water in the distance. She ran towards it and came upon the oasis at last! The flowers smelled so good and the water was sparkling. She was surprised to see her friend, Pwyll, standing by the waterfall. He said he had been lonely and was glad to see her. They splashed and played in the water in celebration of finding each other at such a beautiful place.  Rhiannon and Pwyll drank the healing water and were filled with unconditional love. Time had no measure. A day felt like an hour and a minute felt like eternity. Pwyll told amazing stories and they laughed and laughed.

After three weeks the water suddenly dried up. The heat of the sun felt like a weight on Rhiannon and Pwyll. The plants started to die. Pwyll fell into despair. Rhiannon would not accept that the oasis was gone. She dug into the sand and found a trickle of water. It encouraged her to keep digging. Pwyll said it was hopeless.  She dug until she was exhausted.

A jeep came along and Rhiannon pleaded with Pwyll to get on it with her. Together they could escape the desert and be happy again. Pwyll would not go. He told Rhiannon to go without him. He did not want to be a burden to her.  Rhiannon loved him and would not leave him alone in the desert. She chose to stay with him and help him get well enough to make the trip next time.  Rhiannon prayed to Spirit for help and continued digging for water. After a couple of months Rhiannon became emotionally exhausted and full of anguish. She screamed at Spirit, “I worked so hard and searched so long for the oasis you promised me only to have it taken away after three weeks. Help me!  This is not what I want for myself.”

 Another jeep came by and Rhiannon pleaded with Pwyll to get on it with her. He was not ready to make the journey.  Rhiannon knew that if she stayed with him, she would lose hope and want to die. She told Pwyll that she loves him and it is very hard for her to leave him. He understood and said goodbye to Rhiannon. He was sad to see her go.

Rhiannon got on the jeep and it took her to an Inn that had a beautiful garden and a pond out front. It was a peaceful place where she could recover from her time in the desert. The innkeeper who is named Aragorn is a kind and loving man. He sent flowers to Rhiannon’s room every day because he knew they made her happy. He prepared her meals himself. Rhiannon and Aragorn went for walks in the woods and had many meaningful conversations. She felt that he truly cared for her and she opened her heart to him. Aragorn wrote songs and they sang together as he played the guitar. Each day their love for each other grew deeper.

Rhiannon thanked Spirit for bringing her to Aragorn.  When she thought about Pwyll, she worried about his well being and felt guilty for leaving him in the desert. She grieved for Pwyll and this caused her much pain. She asked Spirit for help. Spirit healed her and explained to her that she cannot carry the burden of another. Spirit told Rhiannon that attempting to carry the burden of another is NEVER good.  It prevents the person from experiencing what they are meant to experience on their life’s journey. A person must be free to feel the pain of the decisions they make in life. Once they feel enough pain, they will choose something different. Spirit said to Rhiannon, “Now you have the love we told you about. Do you understand that you had to go through everything that you experienced in order to receive the love you have now?”

Rhiannon thanked Spirit for healing her. She felt lighter now that she released what did not belong to her. She was free to live her life in joy with Aragorn, each teaching the other about their spiritual path and supporting each other physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

One day, Aragorn came to Rhiannon and said he’d had a wonderful dream and awoke with a new name for the inn. When he told her the name, Rhiannon smiled and said, “That’s magical”. Aragorn replied, “I’m so happy you think so”, and led her out front where she looked up over the doorway to see a beautifully hand-carved wooden sign which read, “The Oasis”. She was home.

Perseus had an internal struggle with accepting that he is a Demi God. His internal conflict  caused  suffering and nearly prevented him from fulfilling his mission. Once he embraced his true authentic self, the universe supported him and he fulfilled his purpose.

Sometimes the struggles we face on our spiritual path are not so easy to identify. For instance, fear is something that many of us struggle to overcome. It cannot be seen because it only exists our minds.  There have been many times that I have overcome fear only to have it come up again in another situation.

Perseus could physically see what he had to do. He killed the Kraken. Everyone knew that he succeeded. Once the Kraken was dead, it stayed dead. I almost wish it were that easy.   

How many of us are struggling with internal conflicts as we strive to fulfill our soul’s mission? How do we measure our progress? How do we know when we have arrived at our purpose?

To answer my own questions, I measure my progress by looking back on my life to see how far I have come. I know when I am living my soul’s purpose because of the feeling of peace in my life.  I have the feeling of being supported by the Universe and the right situations and people appear in my life. I feel joyful knowing that each step I take brings me closer to fulfilling my soul’s mission.

What does being on your spiritual path feel like to you?

During my session I felt the negative energy being cleared. I could actually see black circles surrounded by white light leave my body. I cried a lot and my muscles jumped as the energy left me. After a while I drifted into an altered state and I saw a vision of myself in my garden feeling peaceful. I knew that I was going to be fine. I was heartlinked with Angel Ariel and I experienced unconditional love for the first time in my life that I can remember. Tears of joy poured out of me. After that session, I knew that I wanted to be an IET Master Instructor so that I could share my joy with the world. I am here to serve as a compassionate channel to help others release the energy that is holding them back so that they can discover their true authentic self.

Before I was born into this world, I chose a difficult childhood and early adulthood so that I could find my inner strength. I came here to shine light and love in dark places. I am here to serve as a compassionate channel for Angelic healing energy. I am willing to be vulnerable and share my personal obstacles that I have overcome or may still be working on. In the past, I have made the mistake of putting my spiritual teacher on a pedestal. No one is perfect. We are all here to experience and evolve until this life is over.

I hope that by sharing my experience, strength and hope, others may be inspired to find the answers within themselves. It is my joy to help others discover their true authentic self so that they may live their soul’s mission.
